Telephones

We will shortly be introducing a new telephone system across the practice to help us manage the very high number of calls we receive each day and improve patient access to our services.

During this migration, we may experience some call quality issues, but if this is the case, it should be for a limited period only.

With our new telephone service, patients may notice new call options and specific times for certain types of enquiries.

The purpose of these changes is to allow our reception team to prioritise patients who need urgent medical help or same-day appointments, particularly during the busy early morning period when call demand is highest.

By directing routine enquiries—such as test results, prescription queries and administrative requests—to allocated times during the day, we can help ensure that the early morning phone lines remain available for patients needing to book appointments or discuss urgent medical concerns.

Between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, our phone lines will operate for emergencies only. During this time, patients with urgent medical concerns will still be able to reach our reception team.

We hope this new system will:

  • Improve access for patients who need appointments
  • Reduce waiting times on the phone
  • Help our reception team manage calls more efficiently

We appreciate your patience while we introduce these improvements.
