Home Visit Requests

Home Visits

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. They take up a lot of time and are only for patients who are too ill or are immobile and therefore unable to get to the surgery.  A request for a home visit should be made before 10.30 a.m.  Calls received after this time will normally be made the following day unless of an urgent nature.  The receptionist will ask for some details about the problem, so that the doctors know how urgent the call is. Lack of transport or social inconvenience are not acceptable reasons for requesting a visit.
